阿育王統治的人多嗎？

阿育王時期中國正值戰國時代，希臘亞歷山大帝國已分裂，孔雀王朝應該是當時全球最大的政權，據估計統治當時全球約三成人口，遣使弘化佛教的範圍跨及亞洲、北非、歐洲地中海一帶。

統治的地區包含印度半島（印度次大陸）除了最南端，以及北方與西方的接鄰地方：

人口方面，學者一般估計阿育王時的孔雀王朝統治約3000萬至5000萬人，約佔全球人口的三至四成：
