【講座內容簡介】

地球自45億年前形成以來，曾多次遭受小行星和彗星的撞擊。有明確的科學證據顯示，恐
龍會在約6550萬年前滅絕是隕石撞擊所造成。這些撞擊體被稱做「近地天體」(Near
Earth Objects, NEOs)，至今仍威脅著地球。不可否定的，在未來仍會遭受巨大的天體撞
擊，問題只在於「何時?」。快來一起尋找答案!

Earth has been hit many times by asteroids and comets since it was formed
over 4.5 billion years ago. For example there is strong scientific evidence
that dinosaur extinction occurred approximately 65.5 million years ago was
caused by at least one asteroid impact. These Earth impactors are known as
Near Earth Objects (NEOs), still pose a danger to Earth today. There is no
doubt that sometime in the future Earth will suffer another large impact. The
only question is"when?". Tonight you might have an answer!
