I am thinking of bring the Sutra and book collections
up to the Internet as an on-line searchable tools. Please

The following is my message to the Electronic Buddadharma
Society (Chinese Sutra and books) in the USA.
Please look into http://arahant.uchsc.edu/buddha/sutra/.
Volunteers are already creating hundreds of Sutra and book
titles in electronic formats and are promoting CDROM version
as well. I am thinking of the idea of designing a search engine
like Web & auto-reply email system to work with the existing
electronic information. Therefore, people from around the world do
not have to own a copy of such a collection but can use them, read
them and look things up. If we can also find English Sutra & books,
(especially the terminology dictionary) to publish legally. We
can further promote to install such a system to a number of powerful
computer systems in US universities.
(ie) The UnionWay and TwinBridge in the following message refer to
two popular MS Windows based Chinese system software.

Shawn:
Thanks for your reply. I manually installed them onto my
English Windows 3.11. It worked but not very stable.
Seems to work a little bit better when using UnionWay other
than using Twinbridge.
I just got an idea about building the Buddhist Terminology
Dictionary (eventually the Sutra) search engine onto the Internet
(Web) for free services. People from around the world may
look things up by using Web browser or auto-reply email.
We can also promote to install this system onto a number of US=20
universities.
